I wrote this line last night in the (as yet, unnamed) fifth book in The Stain series for a situation where words of encouragement might have felt like a condescending "I told you so," to the the listener. Cassandra chose to provide silent support instead.
Today's challenge is to pause to consider how our words might feel to the other person before we speak.
