Paying attention to what we are choosing in the mundane moments of our lives is what causes a "shift" in consciousness.
If we "hate" aspects of our life (e.g., commute), we create more misery because that's where the energy of our negativity leads us.
Enlightenment is found when we make peace within the daily grind. It isn't an idealized moment on a mountaintop when everything magically lines up.
The shift is being stuck in traffic, late for work, and choosing to sing along to the radio instead of angrily cursing our "bad luck."
The moment shifted to positivity and life just got better.
