Comfort in the Calm

We become accustomed to a certain amount of excitement from interpersonal drama and the struggle to survive. So when we find ourselves free with nothing happening, peace initially feels like boredom.


This moment offers a choice to stir things up to match the level of stress we are used to, or to down regulate our nervous system response until we find comfort in the calm.
