Expectations

Expectations disappoint us. Period. No one and no thing is under obligation to behave in the way we wish. The relationship, job, living arrangement, opportunity are simply what they are.

We hurt ourselves by failing to accept reality.

This is a hard truth, I know. But the sooner we accept things as they are and act accordingly, the faster we can break out of the cycle of disappointment and move toward a more peaceful life.
