Suggestions: Go to a playground and look for the joy on children's faces. Ask a friend to go for a walk and stroll beside a body of water or visit a park or botanical garden. If you like religious services and haven't been in a while, go. Take a news break. Look out at the stars tonight and behold the wonder of the universe. Write down how you feel at the end of the day.
If despair is a monster fed by our habits, we can choose to cultivate joy instead.
